In connection with our All Work and No Pay: A History of Women's Invisible Labor display, join us to make women’s labor more visible on Wikipedia, one of the web’s most visited reference sites. During this training, attendees of all experience levels will learn the basics of how to edit Wikipedia by updating articles related to the history of women's invisible labor in the United States.

No Wikipedia editing experience is necessary; training will be provided. Laptops are required. Please bring your own. Free WiFi, snacks, and drinks will be provided.

If you can't attend the event in person, you can participate virtually by editing along with us on the day of the event and helping us improve articles from our worklists! Any other questions? Email Kelly Doyle at DoyleK2@si.edu.

This edit-a-thon is part of a series planned in conjunction with the Smithsonian American Women's Initiative, a multiyear undertaking to document, research, collect, display, and share the history of women in the United States. The hashtag is #BecauseofHerStory.
