How have social and political changes in Iran affected the lives of artists? Gain insights into the exhibition My Iran with scholar Talinn Grigor as she discusses works by six women photographers, exploring their aesthetic visions and the cultural context of their works.

Talinn Grigor is a Professor of Art History at the University of California at Davis. Her research concentrates on the cross-pollination of visual culture and global politics and historiography, focused on Iran and Parsi India. She received her PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2005. Her books include Building Iran: Modernism, Architecture, and National Heritage under the Pahlavi Monarchs (2009) and Contemporary Iranian Art: From the Street to the Studio (2014).
