Learn about Georgiana Rose Simpson, the second African American woman in the U.S. to receive a PhD in early 20th century America, and who was also a resident of the Southeast DC’s historic Barry Farm community.  Curator, Alcione Amos presents the talk.  This program is part of the museum’s new Twilight Tuesdays series of drop-in programs.  The museum is open until 8pm every Tuesday.  No registration required. Light refreshments.  Something is always happening on Twilight Tuesdays!

Program is presented in collaboration with the Anacostia Coordinating Council (ACC).
