As a public health precaution, the Smithsonian is postponing or cancelling all large public events, programming and gatherings through May 3. Because of this, this World & Me program is postponed until a later date in the Fall.

Please consult our calendar of events, museum websites, and for the latest updates. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Learn more about your place in the world through explorations of nature and culture. Every second Saturday of the month, museum educators lead a program that combines a book reading, activities, and a chance to look more closely at the museum's collections.

For this month's program, families will explore bones and skeletons. After a book reading of "Bone by Bone: Comparing Animal Skeletons" by Sara Levine, participants will investigate what skeletons can tell us about how different animals (including humans!) live and move. After the program, participants can continue their exploration of this topic in the Bone Hall located on the second floor.

Cost: Please register to guarantee a spot in the program. Reservation is $2.00 per person. Children ages 2 and under are free.

Location: The Theater in the Q?rius Education Center, on the Ground Floor of the museum. Q?rius is located next to the Constitution Avenue entrance.

Accessibility: Access services such as American Sign Language interpretation, real-time captioning (CART), or audio description are available with two-weeks advanced notice. To request this service, please call (202) 633-5238 or e-mail
