AccessibilityASL-interpreted program

Sit down and unplug with ARTLAB and some of the most influential and sought after women musicians in go-go. Hosted by musician Amber Mimz, the featured artists take us into a deep dive of their creative process and indulge listeners in an intimate performance.

This week, Amber is joined by Kacey, lead singer of Black Alley, as she shares the secret ingredients behind her commanding stage presence and captivating performances.

This program is a part of ARTLAB’s Respect Her Crank! series. The series includes a set of public programs and a final virtual exhibit, celebrating women in go-go. ARTLAB is a digital art studio for teens, but this program is open to art- and go-go-lovers of all ages.

ASL interpretation will be provided for this program. If you have any questions about accessibility for this program, please email hirshhornexperience@si.edu.

We want to thank our contributor, Nubian Hueman for making this event possible.

This project received support from the Smithsonian American Women’s History Initiative.
