| | Details | Join us for a special screening of Digital Treasures: Daufuskie Island and Beyond! during the 35th annual Savannah Black Heritage Festival. This Telly Award-winning film explores the resiliency and preservation of Gullah Geechee heritage. Attendees will virtually explore the beauty of Daufuskie Island, SC, and surrounding Gullah communities through the migration story of Mrs. Isabel Hudson. At 100 years of age Mrs. Hudson is Daufuskie Island’s oldest known descendant and a current Savannah, GA resident. Additional highlights of the film include: - A Ring Shout Performance
- Quilting Circle
- Historic tours of Daufuskie Island
- Celebration of Sarah Hudson Grant and midwifery on the Island
- a traditional Gullah meal and more
