Imagine Our Future is a workshop presented by Play and Thrive DC.  Participants will illustrate their perceptions of our community as it is now and their dreams for a utopian future. This activity is designed to be inclusive, allowing everyone to express their vision regardless of their skill level. Participants can draw, trace, or use stickers to depict their community. Art supplies will be provided.

Storytime will come from Look Where We Live; A First Book of Community Building by Scot Ritchie. In this captivating book, five friends spend an exciting day exploring their community. Through their journey, they visit different places, meet various people, and learn about the essential roles these individuals and locations play in making their community vibrant and functional. The story beautifully illustrates the concept of community building, highlighting how each person and place contributes to the overall well-being and happiness of the neighborhood.
